taichi

We practice taichi (taiji quan) and qigong in Fremantle’s Booyembara Park. We’re a friendly bunch and beginners are welcome.

Regular practice is important, but there are occasional absences for holidays away or recovering from social activities. It’s that kind of taichi group committed but not obsessive. Being outdoors benefits our practice, but we can take cover in rainy weather.

The taichi is the Huang Sheng-shyan short form and warmup exercises; the qigong is 八段錦 Ba Duan Jin (Eight Pieces of Brocade). We are starting to work the 易筋经 Yi Jin Jing (myofascia transformer) into our practice.
